Stressing myself out #8

No sweat: top tips to deal with stress and create a calmer life this year | Virgin

Hello again. Often times I set up a large amount of tasks I want to complete. Things that I inspire to do. Hobbies that I find fun and want to pursue more. Video Games I want to complete. Books I want to read. What ends up happening is that I create too many tasks for myself and end up completing none of them. I get myself so busy planing that I never complete the plan.

Often times once I stop a task it is really hard to get started back on a task. One example is that I liked to draw comics. The problem though was that as comics started to take longer to draw I stopped drawing them. It is not a good habit to get into. The more tasks I accumulate the more stress I get and the less I want to do the tasks.

The best way I find not to run into this problem is to work on it in increments. Not do all of the work at once. Plan when you are going to do all of your tasks and follow through. also don't forget to give yourself a break every once in a while. All of this can help with your stress.

  1. Stress is definitely something that needs to be taught to be able to manage. We need to normalize talks about being stressed, specially us in the "college student/adulting" life. I agree with you, though that does speak very highly about you.. it means you are determined and ambitious. What. like to do is have a write all my tasks for the weak on a planner that I carry with me everywhere. I write them all down on Monday and only complete tasks Monday-Friday. Also one thing that has worked for me is dividing the classwork into days. Per example Mondays I only work on English homework, Tuesdays on Accounting, Wednesdays on math and so on. That way you have weekends free for homework and fun activities.

  2. I agree with you. College is tough due to the workload and sometimes there's days were we can't have any free time. Usually I don't think about the workload, I always look forward to the reward after doing my work.

  3. I also find myself stressing out about work that I let pile up and then rush to do it all which is very bad. I need to work better on working on things through out the week.

  4. Hello! I also use to enjoy drawing but have since then gotten easily impatient when it comes to drawing. It's a hobby that I would like to get back into but I just have a million other things going on. Some other hobbies that I enjoy now are going to the gym. A great hobby that benefits me with helping out on stress.🙂

  5. I'm someone who procrastinates, and I find it hard for myself to get back on track when I get distracted.
